FAQs
Why would I hire a VA?
It’s important to remember that as a VA, we are independent contractors, not employees. The benefit for you is that you aren’t paying for health benefits, 401k, profit sharing, social security, lunch and side breaks, office space, office equipment… etc. You’re simply hiring your VA to do the work!
What if I don’t use all of my hours purchased, can they roll over?
Yes! You can roll over up to 8hrs. The remaining hours must be used within the first 7 days in the next consecutive month, or they will expire and are subject to the availability of the VA. All agreements of hours and services are laid out in the contract between yourself and ARA Online Consulting when you’ve decided to purchase our services.
What if I don’t need 8hrs or more of help?
We get that not everyone will need 8hrs or more of help. That’s why we created the Starter Pack which offers you 5hrs. When we connect during the consult, we can customize and prioritize your workload so that your VA is able to assist you with where you need the most help. Are my hours refundable if I don’t use them?
No, all hours purchased are final.
Are you available for travel?
Yes! Sometimes it is important for us to train in-person to learn your systems and processes. The client is responsible to cover all travel costs incurred, including travel time. The client also agrees to pay an increased day rate amount. All travel costs are outlined in the contract and paid in advance.
What if I run out of hours and need to purchase more time for the month?
Your VA will already be aware of this and inform you that you’re coming up at the end of your hours and will need more time to finish the project/task. For example, if you purchased 20hrs, your VA will let you know when you’ve hit 15hrs in the event that he/she feels they may need more time to finish the task. Additional hours purchased are also subject to the time available for the VA that month.
How am I charged and how do I make a payment?
You will be invoiced through our billing system. Upon signing the contract, payment is due immediately to commence services. All payments can be made via credit card or direct ACH payment from your bank. All payment information is outlined in your contract once you are an official client. Moving forward you will be billed monthly according to the length of the contract.
Can I contact you after hours for emergencies?
You may, dependent upon the work requested and your VA’s availability will determine whether your task/project gets accomplished in the same day. Our response time will be between 30min-2 hours and may include an added fee.
What if I want to terminate my contract?
If you choose that you no longer need the help of a VA and decide that you no longer have work to give, you are required to give a 30-day notice in writing. Failure to provide this notice will result in an immediate stop of all services and payment to be made up-to-date in full.
Do you provide a trial run to see if we’re a good fit?
Yes, if you contract your VA for at least 50hrs a month, you will get a significant discount on your total price. If you are unsatisfied within the first 10hrs of the trial period, then we will issue you a full refund.
What if I refer you to someone, do you offer discounts?
If you refer someone to connect with ARA AND they sign a contract for services, then yes, you will get $100 off your next month’s invoice.
